As winter winds down and spring weather engulfs the Snowy Mountains, it is the time to relax and enjoy a great “Day by the Lake” at Rydges Snowy Mountains in Jindabyne.
This will be the perfect chance for locals to catch up with friends after a busy snow season and for visitors to see what a wonderful location Jindabyne has, with the beautiful Lake Jindabyne as its backdrop.
After a great day at last year’s inaugural event, this year will be even bigger and better with local live music playing all afternoon from noon until 6pm.
Bring your picnic blanket and stretch out on the manicured lawns with exceptional lake views while the kids run around and play with their friends. There will be face painting, a jumping castle and a host of local market stalls for that special gift to treat yourself or your loved one.
The grass will be green, the air will be warm, great food will be available along with some refreshing beverages and top local music… what more could you want?
Executive Chef Mark Luntungan is putting together a tasty and simple menu to keep everyone well fed which will include some great local produce.
Naturally a casual relaxing day on the lawn may involve a beverage, and a cold Kosi Pale Ale on Tap might hit the spot, plus a few other favourites including cider for the sweet tooths.
Angoves and Tyrrell’s wineries will be on hand for wine tasting and showcasing some fine wines which will be available to purchase by the glass or bottle on the day. Also they are offering purchase by the case for the discerning wine person and can organise everything there on the day and have the wine delivered to your doorstep.
The Coffee Cart will be run by the Rydges Baristas for that afternoon caffeine craving.
Scenic helicopter rides will be available for purchase for those who want to treat themselves and enjoy a Birdseye view of our town and Lake Jindabyne or perhaps venture further out towards the snow-capped mountains.
The community have also been offered the day as a fundraiser for their raffles and local schools invited to add to the entertainment. For any stall holders wishing to participate they should contact Rydges for more details.
Once the day finishes around 6pm Rydges Resort will have Squires Bar open into the night with the roaring fire pit and a DJ playing some beats. McEvoys lounge and the Fireside Dining will also be open for revellers looking for an evening dinner.
